Had a call from a new customer that had seen my van in GFS Car parts Lakeside, went to his property today to sweep his chimney, his chimney is now nice and clean ready for his fire this evening

First job this morning in Upminster Essex, safely removed Pigeon from chimney which is now nice and clean following a sweep. Looking forward to going back to the area shortly to fit a bird guard and C caps at the same property to stop birds getting stuck in the chimney in the future

Clearly the previous sweep had not put the internal top plate in the correct position which caused the draw problems and the lack of internal space.
Now that you have placed the parts in their proper position the stove is amazing in terms of both clean burning and heat production. We can now place reasonable size logs !

It is vital to get your chimney swept regularly in order to remove any soot, creosote and debris which could build up if regularly being in use. There are things which could potentially cause a fire. Many insurance companies will require chimneys or flues to be regularly swept as part of their terms and conditions. Insurance companies will often not pay out for claims if there have been long intervals between a chimney being swept, as depicted in a documented certificate. Essex and Suffolk Sweeps issue, you a Chimney Safety Certificate once the service has been completed. This certificate is recognised by all the leading insurance companies. As well as this, you will receive a smoke draw test, free of charge.
