It is vital to get your chimney swept regularly in order to remove any soot, creosote and debris which could build up if regularly being in use. There are things which could potentially cause a fire. Many insurance companies will require chimneys or flues to be regularly swept as part of their terms and conditions. Insurance companies will often not pay out for claims if there have been long intervals between a chimney being swept, as depicted in a documented certificate. Essex and Suffolk Sweeps issue, you a Chimney Safety Certificate once the service has been completed. This certificate is recognised by all the leading insurance companies. As well as this, you will receive a smoke draw test, free of charge.

Burnt out Chimney Liner – Southminster
We are all packed up ready for an early start to replace a burnt out chimney liner in Southminster
On site and the work starts, we found a lot more than we were expecting. 20 bags of Vermiculite chimney insulation came out once the burnt out liner was removed.
